Hotties

I’m always amazed at how intuitive the internet is becoming.

When I check my MySpace account, I always have advertisements pretty specific to my tastes on the site.

For instance, “Randy Travis Ringtones.”

Pretty intuitive.

And my personal favorite,

Christian hotties.

I don’t hear that term very often.

No reason not to hear it, of course.  There are Christian hotties.

So I clicked on it.

I was instantly greeted by the picture of what I can only assume was a Christian hotty.

“Fun and Safe Chat with Christian Singles 🙂 “
Jackie M. [ 24 y/o Female ]**

Who was this Jackie M?

I’m pretty sure if she showed up at my church looking like this, it would equal record tithes.

I followed the footnote at the bottom and found this:

** Images and quotes are for demonstrative purposes only and do not reflect actual members.

Hm.  So maybe there is no Jackie M.

Or maybe she’s not a member.

Or worse.  Not a Christian hotty.

Here are the perks of joining the Christian Hotty Network, as listed on the site.

  • Most Popular Chat Rooms
  • More than 25 million members
  • Video Chat with Members
  • Live Chat through IM or Email
  • Start Chatting Now!

Okay, right off the bat, I see “most popular chat rooms.”

Most popular… in the world?  Really?

Does this thing really have 25 million members?  More?  It says more!

There are approximately 300 million people in the United States.  That would equal out to one in twelve of them being a member of the Christian Hotty Network.

After reading about the “Video Chat” feature, I’m clearly skeptical.  I can see where this is going.

The next thing I know, I’m video chatting with a girl named Uncle Terry who’s asking me if I want to meet him in front of the Texaco.

I’d better stick with the Randy Travis ringtones.
